Valentine's Day Mail boxes!!

I was walking past the Dollar section at Target and found there Cute Mailboxes!!
Yep, I said $1.00!! Had to get them, had a lot of ideas to do with them but had decided they have to be for Valentines Day!

I used my Cricut and and my Computer to cut out their names to add the the boxes.
I got some cute paper from Roberts and decorated them.

Starting February 1st - the 14th I will have these sitting out. I am encouraging everyone in the family to participate by writing something nice to someone (on the hearts below.), giving them a coupon  or a treat. :) and put them in the mail box.. (I loved how you can raise the flag when you put something in it.) I know my kids will be excited.. (and lets me honest me to!!)

The ♥'s i cut out to write something nice on.

I will be randomly putting in treats like a favorite Candy bar, sucker, or Candy Hearts. I will always attach a note.

I think they turned out great and  I really hope this turns out as fun as i am imagining it in my head!!

Chore Charts?? What to do??!!

I have been on the search for a cute chore chart that fits,

 a 5 year old and a 2 yr old.

So I've been on the hunt! Here are a few ideas whats your thought? Whats your favorite one?

Chore Chart for Multiple Kids at ...

How Does She

This is one of the cutest Ive ever seen. She had put the chores on sticks and the Kids pick one and that is their chore!! I'm just wondering if this work work if i had older and a few kids int he house. But then i Thought, If i put  a few easy things like " Pick up  toys" and " Make Beds" something easy my kids can do and we do a Power clean every night before bed, this would be fun!! So Maybe... It might even just be fun if we are doing Just a quick clean up, so i may make it fit to my needs and have fun with it!!

Same idea as above, with just a quick Family pick up time this may make it fun to...
Check it out at

Made it into a fun family game at cleanup time!! So cute and looks like a fun way to get the family to Participate. !!

This one is cute to.. Easy and fun for the kids...
Check out,

or I may do just a simple chore chart, Who know's yet, just coming up with an idea. These are the few that has cought my Attention..

Tell me, What kind of core chart do you have? Or what do you do to have your kids motivated to do thier part!! :)

I Have been asked a lot what is the difference of the.....

Quickutz Silhouette & Cricut

I Have the Cricut Expressions ( Thank you MOM) And I LOVE IT!! but doesn't mean I don't want the Silhouette!!  I found the Article  By D.K. Bernhard, eHow Contributor on Ehow.com. But here is the Article!!

*********

The Cricut is the incumbent in this battle of the ProvoCraft Cricut vs. the QuicKutz Silhouette. These two full-featured die-cut machines are versatile with drawing options and options to cut through assorted materials, making your crafting and scrapbooking a breeze.

    Function

  1. The Cricut and the Silhouette at their core are both precision die-cut machines that cut paper, card stock, vinyl and more for crafts, scrapbooking, card making, wall art, glass etching and personalization. They also each have a drawing capability (optional in both cases) that allows for drawing of the loaded art instead of cutting it.
  2. Features

  3. Both machines offer a quality die-cut tool able to cut through many materials, are capable of drawing a loaded image and have portable storage of media (the Cricut's cartridge system vs. the SD card of the Silhouette). They can make vinyl wall or car art, stencils, magnets and embellishments and pages for scrapbooks or cards. The price of both machines is comparable, though the Cricut Expression can cut a wider surface area, the Silhouette can cut a longer surface area.
  4. Considerations

  5. The Cricut is a portable die-cutting machine that does not require a computer to use. The Silhouette, however, does require a computer for initial use and for acquiring more shapes and fonts from your computer. With the Silhouette's SD card capability, however, it is veering away from total computer reliance. The Cricut, however, is reliant on font and shape cartridges that limit the designs and fonts available to its users based on the number of cartridges that are purchased.
  6. Size

  7. The Cricut Expression is 6 1/2 inches tall, 15 1/2 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It is larger than the Silhouette, which is 4 1/2 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches deep. The Cricut is significantly heavier at 20 lb. to the Silhouette's 4 lb. With size, however, comes added benefit as the Cricut Expression can cut 12-by-24. The Silhouette cuts 8 1/2 by 40. The added weight and size benefit that the Silhouette has is potentially negated by the fact that you would also need to carry a laptop around for a fully featured machine.
  8. Benefits

  9. The Silhouette, when connected to your computer or an SD card, is able to access every font and piece of clip art on your computer with no further cartridges to buy to get more shapes. The Silhouette does have an online store selling individual images, but with the variety of free and subscription-based clip art and fonts on the Web, this is hardly necessary. The Expression, though reliant on cartridges, has a lot more in the way of licensed characters and shapes available in individual cartridges.

I hope this helps you guys decide what is best for you!!!

"hello?"
"HI! This is your mother in law calling to
let you know that we are in your neighborhood
and we are going to stop by!"

How to "FAKE" clean your house in 10 minutes or less...

*******

 1. Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, but don't turn it on if someone is coming over soon- it's noisy and having a clean sink and no running dishwasher gives the impression that you keep your sink clean (which I am totally guilty of not doing, like, AT ALL)
2. Wipe down the counters in the kitchen and main bathroom with baby wipes. Baby wipes are cheaper than disinfecting wipes like Lysol and Clorox and they don't leave a chemical smell that says "I just cleaned up because you were coming over" (of course my house always smells like diapers anyway, so I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference)
3. Squirt toothpaste in the toilet and swirl it around with the toilet brush. I know this sounds bizarre, but toothpaste is made for cleaning the enamel on your teeth and your porcelain toilet isn't that much different. Plus, again it does not leave a chemical smell, just the impression that you keep your bathroom clean like that all the time.
(which of course I totally do. um, not.)
4. Throw any other clutter that is in the bathroom (potty chair, step stool, bath toys, etc) into the tub and pull the shower curtain closed
5. Close all of the bedroom doors.
6. Throw the toys that have scattered all over the living room into a plastic bin.
7. Spray Febreze or Oust.
About.com says there are 3 simple rules:
Eliminate-Get rid of anything that looks or smells like trash, and empty all trash cans.
Organize-Straighten couch pillows, counter tops,
 and make the bed.
Hide-Store in the garage or closets, anything that doesn't belong in plain site.

Now, I hope your ready for any "Suprise" Visitors!!
