Fun Box

My daughter loves paper, markers, crayons.. anything artsy..  I have tried so many different ways to help her keep things together, but she still seems to find any way to make a mess of it!

So I was at Target ( a favorite store of mine) and saw this.....

In the Picnic area. For napkins, knives. forks and spoons... and thought!! YAY!! This is perfect.... $9.99 :)

So i bought one, and got my nifty Cricut out and cut out some vinyl.
Madison names it the Fun box!!

I added some Ribbon and filled it full of goodies for her!! She has literally packed it everywhere, up and down the stairs, in the car, outside where ever!!
And easy to keep things organized!!

I love it!! and I'm glad she does to!!

Paper, Stickers, markers, Pencils and Pens!!

    Tips for Healthy Smiles

Healthy teeth are very important for our littles and of course ourselves.

Here are 5 things we do to help maintain healthy teeth...

    1. Make brushing fun. Anytime you take a not so fun task and turn it into something fun, the kids are going to want to do it. Have fun little timers, Let them pick out their own toothbrush and toothpaste, make up a dance they can do while brushing, have a little radio in the bathroom ( away from the water please ) and they brush to a favorite song, reward them for brushing when they are supposed too.

    2. Limiting the Sugars and Candies. Buy healthier snacks with less sugar. After they brush for the last time before bed, no snacks, no drinks ( except water ). Let them chew on some sugar free trident :) It comes in 11 flavors to choose from and what kiddo doesn't love some gum? It's all about limiting and making healthier choices.

    3. Flossing. Flossing is important and kiddos need to floss once a day. Again make it fun for them, they have all kinds of cute little flossers for kiddos. They are more likely to floss with something bright and colorful than the plain white floss. Right?

    4. Brush as a family.  Squeeze everyone into the bathroom and brush together. They see you doing it, they are going to do it too. Turn on some music and boogie down while brushing together. Haha :) Yes, you can even create wonderful memories with your kids while brushing your teeth!

    5. Regular dental checkups. Kiddos should be visiting the dentist twice a year.

It's like most other things we are teaching our kids, if we teach them this while they are young and grow up with these routines and being taught healthy habits such as good dental hygeine then most likely they are going to continue it out on their own and with their own kiddos.

    All about the Green!!

As iw as looking around for some St. Patricks Day ideas i found a few cute things i would love to share to hlp make that a fun day for the kiddos...

Over at  FAMILY FUN They had a lot of cute ideas...

    #1 - Rainbow Cupcakes

    1. To make one, first top a cooled cupcake (baked from your favorite recipe) with grass-green frosting.
    2. For the rainbow, use a large, heavy knife (parents only) to cut a long, narrow strip from each of several flavors of Airheads candies (this is sticky stuff, so work on waxed paper). Lay the strips side by side, press them together, then cut the ribbon of strips in half to make two rainbows.
    3. Curve each one into an arch and trim the ends as shown. Set one rainbow upright on the cupcake (save the other for another cupcake) and deposit a pot's worth of gold coins at one end. If necessary, place a gold coin behind the rainbow for support.

    Instructions
    1. To make a batch, cover a work surface with a sheet of waxed paper. For each clover, arrange three yogurt-covered mini pretzels and a pretzel section as shown.
    2. Combine 1/4 teaspoon vegetable oil with 1/4 cup white chocolate chips and melt them together in the microwave according to the chips' package directions. Dab the mixture between the pretzel pieces to adhere them. Let the chocolate harden.
    3. Working with one clover at a time, pipe the edges and stem with green icing (we used a #8 round piping tip), then quickly sprinkle it with decorating sugar (we used white, light green, and dark green).
    Tips:
To save sugar, sprinkle each clover on a small piece of waxed paper. After you've covered a few treats, use the paper to funnel the extra sugar back into its jar.
     #3 sweet-shamrocks
    Sweet Shamrock Pretzels

Here's a tasty new twist on the traditional St. Patrick's Day shamrock -- sweet green pretzels fashioned from canned refrigerated bread stick dough and coated with a sprinkling of colored sugar and cinnamon.
    Ingredients
    • Canned refrigerated bread stick dough (we used Pillsbury Original Breadsticks)
    • Colored sugar
    • Cinnamon
    Instructions
    1. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
    2. To create the clover shape, mold 3 sections of bread sticks into hearts and press them together as shown. Attach a small stem, decorate, bake according to the package directions, and serve them up to your lucky guests

    Motivation / Chore Board

I've wanted to come up with something to put our Family "To Do's" on.

I wanted it to be Motivating and Inpsiring...

I want All of us, even my kids see these motivational words on a regular basis because i want my kids to be these things, and not only them, but for me and my husband to be that kind of parent.

I really like how this turned out... :)
    What do you think?

My Husband helped make the frame, and we put metal in it..

I then used my AWESOME Cricut ( thank you mom) and cut out vinyl word and put them around the edges.

I Then added Kids Chore Charts and
Our Meal Plan for the week / to do's and birthdays.

Do you have something in your home that is Motivational to you family? If you do please share with me?!
